Improving your overall health is a huge topic to tackle, but starting with the right plan can be simple. In this article, we'll discuss 4 ways to improve your health plan. These are simple steps to implement. However, like most benefits in life, it will take a certain amount of resolve and discipline.
Set Up Dedicated Appointments
Have a strategic plan of days and times when you will be intentional about working on your health. This means it becomes a priority. If you know that you're going to invest 10 minutes into doing push-ups or stretches at 1 o-clock, then mentally prepare yourself. Decide in advance that whatever work you're doing, you'll put it on hold for 10 minutes while you invest into your health. If you have to, start small and do research on exercises that fit your current schedule. Then work your way up from there. You should also plan the time you'll need in order to eat the right breakfast or get a healthy smoothie during the day. How else are you going to invest in your health? Then put it in the plan! Keep in mind all the aspects of your health when you set your dedicated appointments.
The important thing to remember is this: Be intentional and consistent. Have a strategic plan for your health goals and then follow through!

Get the Right People Around You
Never underestimate the power of the right people around you. Surround yourself with people who are just as motivated to reach their health plan goals as you are–and even more so! The momentum created from similar passion and goals helps with consistency and sustainability. Make sure that the people speaking into your life are people who support and encourage your vision to improve your health. Also, a personal trainer is an important component of a health plan. Having someone intentional and motivated to help you reach your specific health goals is a catalyst for your success.

Look Your Best
Believe it or not, the way you look affects your health! When you know you look better, you will automatically feel better. This will, in turn, psychologically set you up to believe that you have what it takes to reach your goals, including your health goals. Look your best when you go out, and you'll see how it strengthens your own perspective of your value, honor, and confidence. Any lasting improvements will start within you. Thus, when your perspective of yourself gets better because of a simple decision (like dressing your best), you set yourself up to obtain your next step to success. It's an easy but powerful way to prepare yourself to improve your health plan.
Strengthen Your Resolve
Resolve is a huge key to your success. Why? Because you know that you don't want success to last just a few weeks or a few months. You want a life that is full of success and abundance. Even when trials come (and they will), you want the tools to overcome them so you can stay on course and not be held back. How you do practically prepare yourself for the hard times so they don't hinder you from moving forward? Strengthen your resolve!
If you know you want to go for a run in the morning, then strengthen your resolve before you go to bed. Envision yourself getting up and choosing to follow through with your goals. What are some other ways that you can improve your health plan with a greater determination?
- Self-talk: Let go of negative self-talk. Strengthen your resolve to speak life over yourself and your circumstances.
- Exercise plan: Understand that it's not an overnight fix. It's going to take time, and it's okay to crawl before you walk. Even losing one pound a week or doing a 15-minute activity each day adds up.
- Emotional intelligence: Unstable emotions lead to discouragement. Strengthen your resolve to be emotionally mature. Develop the skill of conflict resolution so that you know how to process what you feel in a healthy way.
